The Great Flood

The Great Flood - Oil on Canvas 24 x 30

I'm finally done with one of the pieces for the 2012 Art Show i am participating in.

It took me a while to finish this, this was actually the second time i painted it, the first time i was about half way and was not liking the results so i got some black gesso and covered the entire canvas, erasing what i had done.
for the second go at the painting, i took my time, i wanted it to look good, although it was a little harder working with the black background from the gesso, i found that the black color would come through in some areas and the piece turned out a little darker than i expected because of it, but i like how it looks, and that's all that matters!
